Subversive Daytime Television


I was just watching countdown this morning and couldn't help but laugh (mentally) in confoundment and gusto at the pre-advert conundrum which was:

ADDGREED

-To which the solution was revealed after the ad break:

DEGRADED

-Amazing. The placement for such a conundrum couldn't have been more apt. Whether or not this was a deliberate attempt to subvert advertisement within daytime TV or merely coincidence, I'll assume the former to be true as countdown is one of the few cerebral daytime TV shows left. Kudos to whoever came up with that one! -keep an eye out for them in future...
