Rory fest 09 did exactly what I expected it would do. The festival was powered by Rory's charismatic blues rock and enough Buckfast and Dutch Gold to anaesthatise the entire worlds population of elephants.
The weather held up amazingly well while numbers arrived fast and thick from the Thursday onwards and over the course of the 4 days there was numerous quantities of complimentary swigs from bottles of Buckfast, wine and bottles of spirit in return for friendly banter and comradery between total strangers. The craic was absolutely mighty and the alcohol induced sunburn was plentiful. And a big round of applause to the clean up crew who had the place spotless within minutes of the end of the festival. -Til next year...
